MTV Stuttgart: Mit minus 9 ins Do-or-Die

ChemCats Chemnitz – MTV Stuttgart 1843 69:60 (20:16; 12:19; 16:13; 21:12)

Der MTV musste leider auf Josi Buljan und kurzfristig auch auf Laura Kindelan Lohse (Erkältung) verzichten.

Mit Entschlossenheit, herausragendem Einsatz und exzellenter Defense konnten die MTV Damen ein gutes Ergebnis im Hinspiel in Chemnitz erzielen. Mit der gezeigten Energie und dem Kampfgeist ist  somit noch alles drin, wenn es am Ostermontag um die berühmte Wurst geht.

Aufgrund mäßiger Trefferquote von der Dreierlinie (nur 3 von 24 Dreierversuchen trafen) und etwas mehr Cleverheit in der Schlussphase, als Chemnitz noch 4 Freiwürfe geschenkt wurden wurde eine etwas bessere Ausgangsposition verpasst.

Headcoach Cyril DaSilva fasst zusammen „ A friend of mine texted me the following message ‚You must be proud of your team. Great ball movement, great teamwork and amazing defense. My humble opinion is that you were the better side of the game. The only reason you didn’t win are the missed shots which were mostly wide open and the best option. They just weren’t going in, and it’s normal when you have a young team without play off experience. Just keep it up‘ and I have nothing to add to that excellent analysis.

Jetzt gilt es nach anstrengender Reise und intensivem Spiel den Ostersonntag zur Regeneration zu nutzen.

Potentieller Gegner in der 2. Playoffrunde sind die Rhein-Main Baskets oder die Medical Instinct Veilchen BG Göttingen. Spiel 1 ging mit 69:51 an die Veilchen.
